WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Have you ever felt like your praise wasn't real enough? Ever found yourself struggling to read the word? Ever felt like you've been running away from God or growing weary as if now that things are good, you're no longer in need of Him? HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN??? Have you forgotten where you came from? Have you forgotten your lowest points and your downfalls? Have you forgotten who saved you from it all? It doesn't even matter that your flesh isn't into it... your flesh won't want to obey God. It doesn't even matter that you're busy because if it's important to you, you'll make time for it. It doesn't even matter that you made plans to do better... for what are they worth if you don't follow through?

Well I certainly have forgotten and I doubt I'm the only one. So what do you do when you don't know what to do? You don't complain about it, you don't simply ask for prayer requests and hope things change, you don't wait until the spirit comes upon you one Sunday morning or through one message---- no it's a personal thing.... it's much more personal than that. The Lord is not an event, He's not one miracle, or just something that randomly happens... He's for certain, He's constant, He's alive. So treat Him as such. When you are drifting away from Him and you don't know what to do... just let yourself fall. It may not make sense at first, but see the waves don't fight the wind, they just flow. You are not powerful enough to stand against Him, you're not even powerful enough to make your flesh do the right thing- so stop thinking you can. Just fall into Him. Let go of that tight grip you have on your desires, your disappointments, your care, and your huge to-do list.... LET GO!!!! It's not yours to take care of, to fix, or to handle because He gave it to you- it's His and only He knows how to handle it. So just let go!

Now once you've finally given Him full authority over your life like He demands, only then will you truly encounter Him for good. Now He can work on you, for you, and through you... see your way wasn't working and that's the point, it never will without His guidance. So how about you stop wasting time and let the Maker do what He does best. Letting go is a lot harder than it seems, but it works much better than anything else you've ever tried. It is submission, it is acceptance, it is obedience, it is trust... It is faith. That is how you draw closer to Him and grow more: by letting go of your hold and letting Him hold you.
