"Take Your Love & Bear My Fruit"

He's saying "take your love,"

Take that love that is never-ending, never-yielding, never-changing,

Take that love that's been knocking on your door- waiting for an answer,

Take that love that's been showering you with love and blissfully providing,

Take that love that's been saying "It's okay I've got you,"

Take that love you know will never let go....

You are His bride and He is your groom,

He has prepped you for this very day,

He has counted down the years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, even to the very second...

The moment you would accept Him and say I do,

And while you were fast asleep, He was planning every detail,

Picking out the flowers, the guests, the food, the music- finding no rest for His tired soul and yet smiling through it all- for Love,

He has that kind of love for you that Jacob had for Rachel (Genesis 29),

That love that saw no time, no pain, no option but to love,

He's not afraid of hard work, for you He'd do it all,

Those seven years of work, to Him only felt like days,

In fact, give Him seven more... His love can withstand it,

And when He has finished shielding you, fighting for you, guiding you, providing for you, dying for you--- He will wait some more and love you still,

Has anyone ever told you how lucky you are?

Do people ever get jealous of how much you are loved by Him?

Has anyone ever wished they were you?

Do people ever grow weary by how much He cares for you?

Or do you just not realize how special you truly are?

Because I'll tell you, walking with Christ -you are highly favored,

People think the beauty is in the wedding but it's really in the marriage,

Getting baptized to Christ isn't the goal, walking this journey with Him is-

So He's waiting... waiting on you to say yes,

Waiting for you to uncover that veil that He tore to unify Him to His church-

Go on, He's waiting... waiting for you to finally walk down that aisle,

He's waiting to look upon your face and say, "There she is... there goes the one I love, the one I've been waiting for, the one I came to die for,"

And after the wedding; after the guests have all left and the music stops, after the food is gone and that day becomes a distant memory,

You have the privilege of living life with Him forevermore,

You get to bear His fruit and nourish His people,

You get to look upon the eyes of those who are lost and help them find Him,

You get to testify to the world about how you got to be His,

You get to inspire someone to find that love- that love Jacob had for Rachel, that love Christ has for you,

You get to water the plants of a garden that you, with your hard work and strong hand, did not help to create,

You get to look upon His glory and see that this was much bigger than you,

You get to realize that it was not simply for you or because of you,

But rather from Him, through Him, and for Him (Romans 11:36),

And once you step back and see what God did to show you His love for you,

You'll understand the importance of taking the love He has freely given you and bearing the fruit for which He has commissioned you.
