Man oh man, color has never looked so good! You may often see the media portraying high fashion as solid short skirts and nude crop tops, but I am here to tell you that they have been mistaken... this is what high fashion really looks like. This beauty named Richeline Jules is rocking a black and white high-wasted polka -dotted skirt, accompanied by a neon-yellow sleeveless blouse with a nice pair of double-strapped pointed black heels. Can we say absolutely gorgeous?!
This young lady never fails to look her best as she dresses in some of the most unique, trend-setting attire. As the beauty of the week, she sets the inspiration for this week's motto, "Color Me Beautiful." We often categorize people who wear different colors and pair different patterns as "mix-matching" or "not knowing how to dress." We fail to realize however, that it requires a great deal of creativity and confidence for someone to go against typical fashion trends and to actually pull it off. The way I see it; it takes a bold woman to proudly wear different colors and patterns. It takes a woman who is even more bold to not let the media persuade them that "less is more." Do not be decieved; less is less and more is truly more. You can wear a knee-length skirt and look just as good as if it were 3 inches shorter- in fact you would look even better. Don't believe me? Take a look for yourself at Richeline's "Color Me Beautiful" slideshow.
So take Liline's example and dare to do what you have always wished you could do without caring if you are judged. Dare to be bold! Dare to be different! Dare to wear that polka dotted dress that has been sitting in your closet turning to dust! When you KNOW you are beautiful, everyone else will know it too. So stop dressing in all black and making sure that every detail on your shoes matches your bag, shirt, and watch- life is too short for all of that. I suggest you step outside of your comfort zone this week and not play it safe with the typical colors that you always wear. Go even further with some print, not anything too outrageous, but just enough to know you stepped out of your shell a little more today than you did the day before. Wear some color to make that outfit pop. Switch up the typical solids. Dare to pair your outfit with a little bit of neon and watch how bright your day will become!
